For my undergraduate capstone project, I developed a multi-functional border checkpoint and refugee resource center over the course of two quarters. Located in Resovo, Bulgaria along the southeastern border to Turkey is where my intervention, Rezervat, lies. It's this dividing line that determined the freedom of a century's worth of people who had been forced to flee their homes in fear of persecution. Rezervat is meant to streamline the processing of refugees in order to offer asylum seekers the relief they have sought and rightfully deserve. Given the geographical significance and a world that continues to struggle with its humanitarianism, Rezervat is not the answer but more so a helping hand to those that need it most.
